先日の欧州出張のご報告。
今回は、短い滞在ながらフランクフルトにも立ち寄りました。
世界最大級のインテリア商材のトレードショーの一つである「アンビエンテ」に
作品が出品されている為です。
R.F.YAMAKAWAの商材として、昨年、ニューヨークのショーで初披露した「coo coo」。
coo cooは鳥のカタチをした靴べらですが、日本と欧州ではその文化的慣習の違いから、
家の中における靴べらの定位置が異なることも興味深いことです。
どのような反応になるかと心配していましたが、結果は好評だったようで、
一社でなんと２万個のオーダーもあったとか。。
日本でも夏には発売予定。今後の展開が楽しみです。
Report of the trip in Europe.
This time, I stopped by Frankfurt even a very short stay, to check my own small work
at the world's largest interior trade show "Ambiente".
"coo coo" as a product of R.F.YAMAKAWA, was unveiled at the show in NewYork last year.
It is a shoehorn in bird shape.
My interest is the differences of place of installation in a house
because of the differences in cultural practices in Europe and in Japan.
Though I was worried about a reaction, it was great results.
It seems there were a lot of order, for example, 20,000 orders by one company.
